Originally written in 2003, the first two tracks are dan lo.fi's first foray into the world of vocal house. Inspired by the live feel of an old disco 12" found in a junk shop, the sound is a disco-techno combination. Both of the vocal tracks have been remastered and reworked for this release. Third track 'Mashup' is brand new - it filters and layers some of the 'in-between' vocal samples in to a heavy techno bass workout.

The songs are dark under the influence of j.RicK, yet because of S.E.T.H. the tracks rail along with a sense of light-heartedness with catchy synth melodies and clever talking samples. This is an exciting follow up to their first, self-released and self-titled EP in 2004. Mixdowns by Dave Golitko on "Pull Wires", "Metropolis",...

Dark techno moods, breakbeat rhythms, and lush ambiances gives a psychedelic feeling to Desert Movement. This EP is a musician's reflection on the world as the war in the Middle East worsens. The song titles derive from The Atlantic Monthly's Foreign Affairs article entitled "Declare War," by Leslie H Gelb and Anne-Marie Slaughter. "Most wars are... determined by an unstable alchemy of known knowns, known unknowns, and unknown unknowns" (p. 54). Desert Movement EP is the...
